Black Velvet are a top traditional Irish band based near Padstow Cornwall UK, playing a lively mix of traditional Irish songs, jigs, reels and comedy.

For gigs which require a larger sound, the band has access to some great additional guest players, including Hudson Swan founder of the Cornwall Fiddle Orchestra, Ryan Evans (Fiddle) Dan Powell accordion, Emma Packer fiddle, Sam Spake (Fiddle) Accordion player Ade Welsh and his daughter Laura Welsh Fiddle, Kevin Brinn of the Stowes (Accordion) and mandolin player Rob Long to add additional instruments to the sound of their music.
